Skiing or snowboarding near Melbourne? I don’t remember an episode of neighbours where Kyle and Jason grab their winter gear and head off to the mountains!

Maybe they should have done as you can embark on some great ski resorts in Australia. And some are just a short journey from Melbourne.

Skiing and snowboarding is actually available in three Australian states and the season runs from June to end of September.  Ideal if you are getting withdrawal symptoms and can’t wait for winter to hit the European slopes.
