So what are you waiting for? Book the time off work and have the trip of a lifetime. Of if you are a student, finish your university assignments – or get WritePaper to finish them for you – and party hard and adventure harder with likeminded individuals.

5 best places to adventure and party

Here are a few ideas for singles activity holidays in Europe. So get your imagination hurtling towards the perfect adventure.

Belgrade, Serbia

Forget Barcelona, move over Berlin – there’s a new kid in town! Belgrade is fast becoming Europe’s number one party destination.

The Serbian girls look like they’ve stepped straight off a catwalk and the men are of a definite muscular disposition. But they’re also probably the friendliest crowd north of Ayia Napa.

Belgrade is built on the confluence of two great rivers – the Danube and the Sava So it is a great place for water sports. Spend a day water skiing down the Danube or wakeboarding the Sava.

By night experience the other activities that the river has to offer. After dark, barges all along the banks transform into bars and clubs. They heave with Eastern Europe’s newest party crowd until the sun comes up.

Over indulged on a night out (not that we condone such behaviour, of course)? Then what better way to clear the hangover than a tandem skydive or a bungee jump?

Or if that seems a bit much, head over to the cafes and restaurants on the Ada Ciganlija river island for some well-earned relaxation. You’ll be hard-pressed to find a better destination for singles activity holidays in Europe than Belgrade.

Brighton, UK

A classic stag and hen do destination, Brighton is one of Britain’s best places to adventure and party. Famed for it’s nightlife it is also full of fun activities and action sports.

You can head out onto the sea for sailing, kitesurfing, kayaking, windsurfing, paddle boarding or jet boating. If you prefer your water more placid you can try dinghy sailing, windsurfing and SUP in Hove Lagoon.

Hove lagoon is also a great place to learn to wakeboard. The cable tow here has three lines including one dedicated to beginners. The other cables have plenty of features for freestylers to get creative.

On land Stanmer Park is home to some of the best mountain biking trails in the southeast and hosts the Big Dog race each year. Plus with the South Downs National Park on your doorstep there is plenty of hiking.

If you prefer to take to the air there are many paragliding launches nearby. There is a permanent zipline on the seafront and a bungee crane comes to town a couple of times a year.

And to party? Well Brighton is famous for having more pubs per population than anywhere else in the UK, so a pub crawl is always in order. Plus the bars and clubs on the seafront are open all night and have a banging crowd year round.

Kotor, Montenegro

Looking for something a little more Mediterranean for your singles activity holidays in Europe? Then Montenegro could be a great choice.

With a coastline just as stunning as its Croatian neighbour, Montenegro offers a fantastic mix of dramatic mountains, fjord like scenery and beaches.

For some of the best partying in the Adriatic, head to the beautiful walled city of Kotor. Nestled between mountains and the Bay of Kotor, this city is not one you will forget in a hurry.

The old town is stuffed full of bars and cafés. Yachts regularly pull in to the exclusive harbour to offload their wealthy occupants (think Malaga but with more style). So you won’t be short of people to party with.

Its spectacular setting makes Kotor a great place for daytime adventure sports too. To start there is ample hiking and biking in the surrounding mountains.

Plus you’ll find world class kayaking and rafting on the Tara River. There is also kayaking, sailing, kitesurfing, windsurfing, water skiing and wakeboarding in Kotor Bay.

The high sides of the Kotor Bay make it perfect for paragliding. There’s plenty for even the most restless of travellers to get their teeth stuck into. Making Kotor one of the best places to adventure and party.

Dublin, Ireland

Another classic stag and hen destination, Dublin is rightly popular with a party crowd. Visit the Guinness factory, pub crawl your way around town and end up in one of the many clubs. Happy days (or should I say nights!).

But there are also more things to do in Dublin than  many people realise. Full of adventure, combined with its nightlife, it’s easily one of the best places for singles activity holidays in Europe.

Hiking and biking are very popular, with great Irish countryside to explore just outside the city. On the water try kitesurfing, sailing, windsurfing or  kayaking in Dublin.

Reykjavik, Iceland

For a little Norse magic, visit our far-flung northern cousins in Reykjavik. There is something distinctly mysterious and exotic about this volcanic island. Be warned it’s expensive – but it’s worth every penny.

With a population of just 360,000, Iceland is the most sparsely populated country in Europe. But it punches well above its weight as far as daytime and night time activities go.

With mountains, rivers, glaciers, active volcanoes, beaches and hot springs, there really is something for everyone. Check out this article about the best activities in Iceland to find out why it’s one of the top places to adventure and party in Europe.

If you want to get close to nature, as well as getting your adrenaline fix, try a combined white water rafting and whale-watching day. You’ll spend the morning cruising along the coast and the afternoon rafting down Hvita Gorge.

Or if you want to keep your feet firmly on the ground, Iceland offers plenty of great hiking trails. How about a hike to hot springs, where you can strip off and relax in stunning scenery? You can also hike on a glacier or go ice climbing.

If you don’t mind braving the frigid waters you can scuba dive, kite, paddle board, sail, windsurf or surf in Iceland. You can also ski and snowboard or take a heli ski adventure to the north and ride powder from the peak to the ocean shore.

If you’ve made any new Icelandic friends during the day, try and get an invite to their pre-going out party. This is a common event in Iceland as the price of drinks can make a serious dent in your holiday budget.

Alternatively, head straight for Laugavegur, a street overflowing with bars and bar-hoppers. And from there, simply follow the hoards of beautiful people as they lead you to one of the many super clubs that Reykjavik is famous for.
