Why learn to kitesurf in Tarifa?

Over the last couple of decades Tarifa has been transformed from sleepy seaside village to international kitesurfing Mecca. Too windy to be considered a true beach resort, its vast sandy beaches, reliable winds and sunny conditions were practically designed for kitesurfing.

This is the place where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Mediterranean Sea, and it’s all protected by national park, so there aren’t any big holiday resorts.

The beautiful beaches of Los Lances, Valdevaqueros and Punto Paloma are all backdropped by the incredible scenery of Andalusia. And across the water you can marvel at the amazing mountain backdrop of Morocco. Dragon even offer some surf breaks across the Med if you’re in the mood for Africa too.

The perfect conditions and absence of too many holidaymakers and swimmers means this is one of the best spots in the world to kitesurf. With expert tuition from Dragon Kite School and all your accommodation sorted in advance, you couldn’t really ask for more.
