With its stunning lakeside position in the heart of Spain’s gloriously sunny Andalusian region, log cabin accommodation and an extensive range of on-site facilities, it’s easy to see why Xtreme Gene is the most popular wakeboard camp in Europe.
However, it’s not just the natural conditions and superb facilities that elevate above the competition – as anyone who has been can tell you. It’s also about the riding. With three boats running for riding, all guests get to experience some of the best boarding and skiing in Europe.
The most popular wakeboard camp in Europe
The first thing that hits you when you arrive at the Xtreme Gene camp is the view. This being Andalusia in southern Spain, the sun will almost certainly be shining, reflecting off the lake and dazzling as much as the stunning hilly backdrop.
And apart from the sound of world class wake boats and people having incredible amounts of fun, you’ll also notice what a welcoming and serene place this is. If you had to imagine a perfect wakeboarding destination this wouldn’t be too far away which is just part of what makes it the most popular wakeboard camp in Europe.
There are a number of different packages available at Xtreme Gene, ranging from day courses, to weekend camps and week-long visits. While any stay at Xtreme Gene is an amazing experience, the longer you stay, the better.
There are three Nautique boats for riding behind, including the 196 for beginners and the Super Air 210 and 220 for more experienced riders. Skiers get the chance to use the Centurion Carbon Pro, one of the best in the world.
The choice of boats reflects everything else about Xtreme Gene. Namely, that only the best will do. Yet another reason why this has fast become the most popular wakeboard camp in Europe.
The wakeboard tuition
Of course, any wakeboarding camp is only as good as the quality of the learning. So it is no surprise to discover that the teaching at Xtreme Gene is world class. All the coaching that goes on is geared towards improving your technique but also ensuring that you have the best time possible while you’re away. If you can have fun while you’re learning, it makes it a much more valuable experience.
Our resident Pro coaches include Matthew Southam, Andres Ailjo and David Coates, amongst others – all highly skilled and experienced teachers who know how to get the best out of every rider.
The best of the rest
The lake itself might be in a peaceful location but it’s situated just outside the lively city of Cordoba, which is well worth exploring. And, as well as over 25 kilometres of runs on the lake for wakeboarders, there is also the chance to go kayaking, swimming and fishing.
With a terrace and bar on-site too, there is plenty to keep you entertained when you’re not out on the water (which, it must be said, is not that often).
Xtreme Gene has got everything a great wakeboarding destination needs, which is why it’s the most popular wakeboard camp in Europe. It doesn’t get much more simple than that.
