Take your first steps out on the slopes on this snowboarding course for beginners in Slovenia.
Join us on this Slovenia Adventure Holiday: Snowboarding Course for Beginners!
Strapping into your board for the first time can be pretty daunting. You must find your balance and control your speed, all whilst handling your worries of falling over. However, Snowboarding is fun, can be fast, and above all exciting!
This is why we have designed this Complete beginner snowboarding holiday in Slovenia for those wanting to take their first steps into snowboarding and may not know where to start. We have an incredible team of instructors, all selected for their experience and dedication to their chosen disciplines; and their standout passion for helping people develop on the slopes. Everyone will receive 1:1 and 1:3 time with our instructors.
For this course, we use the Slovene Mountain Resorts of Golte and Rogla, considered by many winter sports lovers to be two of the most beautiful snowsport centres in Slovenia. Situated at an altitude between 1,250 and 1,575 metres above sea level, they each encompass over 60 hectares of wonderful nature. They are home to well-developed pistes, bar complexes and wellness centres to rest those newfound aches and relax with friends. Both resorts provide the perfect backdrop for a relaxing and encouraging introduction to boarding, whilst providing all the necessary challenges to help you develop.
We aim to have you leave your time with us having mastered the basics and being independent on blue slopes, buzzing to continue snowboarding and marking the days until the next season.
So, if you’re looking to take up a new sport, discover what could become a new passion, and share some great experiences with new friends, then this is the course for you.

Itinerary:
Day 1: Arriving in Slovenia, the team at Ljubljana Airport will meet you. From here we’ll travel to the small town of Sostanj on the outskirts of Velenje to Turisticna Pirnat, your home for the week.
You will have the afternoon to refresh, relax, and explore your surroundings before some afternoon workshops that will focus on specific apparel choices, weather conditions and equipment set-up. This provides a great opportunity for our instructors to get to know you, share stories and discuss your goals and aspirations for the week.
Day 2: The second day is all about suiting up and getting a feel for the basics. Our coaches will spend a great deal of time sensitively leading you through your first steps, a mixture of instruction and self-discovery. Later, in the afternoon, your time will be yours. Our team will remain on the slopes to continue instruction, however, you’re free to enjoy the freedom of developing by yourself, measuring your own progress or calling it a day when you’re ready.
Days 3-7: From day three onwards the plan will vary dependent upon the pace at which you are developing. Our instructors will continue to choose the best ways to help advance your skills over the course of the week, including morning/evening photographic and video analysis sessions of your performance. You will also have the opportunity to snowboard independently if you wish.
During the mid-week point, you’ll have the opportunity to take a day off the slopes and head to the tranquil Lake Bled for a change of scenery, a cultural experience, and a chance to relax your muscles.
Day 8:
All good things must come to an end, and we’ll head as a group to Ljubljana Airport to say our goodbyes.

On this trip, you will be staying in traditional alpine accommodation in a shared double room whereby you may be partnered with another person (people will default to staying with a person of the same gender unless both individuals have specifically stated they don’t mind). The rooms have ‘double-single’ beds that are connected via the bed frame, however, you have fully separate mattresses and duvets.
If you are not comfortable sharing a room and wish to have your own, we can arrange that per trip numbers. You can guarantee yourself a private single room for a fee.
This course will run on a number of occasions throughout the ski season, however, it is available upon request for closed groups simply by contacting us beforehand.
