This unique Ronda to Tarifa self-guided MTB tour explores the hidden, unmarked trails which criss-cross the rural countryside of the far south of Spain. Tough climbs, thrilling descents, stunning views, quiet trails and technical singletrack – what a mix! On this tour you route will ride high up into pine-covered hillsides and through rural countryside, along rocky limestone gorges and through river valleys. You will pass through small white villages and hilltop towns with Moorish castles. You will finish with a superb trail along the coast above the Mediterranean Sea, ducking and diving through the sea-ravaged cliffs on a mix of rocks, sand and stone. Your ride ends at Tarifa’s Guzman castle near the port, overlooking the Straits of Gibraltar. Finish with a day to chill-out in the laid-back seaside town of Tarifa, or even take a day trip across the Straits fo Gibraltar to Morocco.

Arrival Day - enjoy the sights and sounds of the clifftop town of Ronda
Biking Day 1 - Ronda to Cortes - 36km +925m A day of great riding through forested hills and along riverside singletrack through a rocky mountain gorge. Lots of ups and downs and some technical sections.
Biking Day 2 - Cortes to Jimena - 43km +685m Riding through remote areas of the Alcornocales Natural Park on a gradually descending route through forests and countryside.
Biking Day 3 - Jimena to Los Barrios - 47km +500m Today includes farm tracks, forest and a rural climb up to the mediaeval castle town of Old Castellar. A fantastic descent from the castle heads through more forest and hills.
Biking Day 4 - Los Barrios to El Bujeo - 35km +725m An easy flat start then a long, steady forest ascent up into the mountains behind Algeciras. Fabulous views across the Mediterranean - watch the busy port action from the peace and quiet of the mountains. Long descent to finish the day.
Biking Day 5 - El Bujeo to Tarifa - 30km +410m A long climb back into the mountains overlooking the Straits of Gibraltar then a descent to the coast, for a spectacular section of twisting coastal pathway all the way to Tarifa.
Chill-Out Day - enjoy the chilled-out vibe of Tarifa o take a ferry over to north Africa
