There\’s a bike park with wooden bridges, swings, jump tables and Big Air Bike for mastering stunts and jumps and a play area for perfecting technique. In addition there are also two pump track courses in the resort.
The MTB area of Orcières is also a superb playground for enduro bikers with 5 enduro routes, including an amazing technical descent going all the way from the top of the mountain at 2650m to the base of the valley at 1350m where a free shuttle will take you back up to the resort.

Before your downhill biking course starts you have a free day with a top quality electric mountain bike to explore the high altitude lakes, acclimatise your legs and lungs and prepare at your leisure. Who Will Love this Alps MTB Trip?
There are groups for all levels but experience of mountain biking on a range of off-road terrains is an advantage for this Orcieres downhill mountain biking holiday in France. An adventurous spirit and a thirst for challenge are probably the two most important requirements for this trip! Although you will be using lifts to get to the top of the mountain, do not underestimate the physical challenge of downhill biking. A good level of all round fitness is important.

This Alps MTB trip revolves around a 3 day downhill mountain biking course which runs from Tuesday to Thursday. Around this you have a day with a top quality full suspension electric bike hire and a choice of other alpine activities which you can spend your activity points on including more biking.
Depending on which day you arrive as your arrival day is flexible, we'll arrange your eMTB hire and other activities around this course to give you a personalised itinerary.
For your e-bike day we recommend exploring the high altitude lakes so you can rediscover your biking legs and acclimatise your lungs to the altitude at your own pace. This is a perfect warm up for your downhill biking course.
When your downhill biking lessons start on Tuesday, you'll meet your guides who will equip you with full body protection and a high quality downhill bike.
Once equipped, you'll head out up onto the lifts and bike tracks. Your guide will give you top tips for downhill biking in full security whilst having as much fun as you can. Control and confidence are the name of the game!
The sessions lasts for a full on half a day and are physically demanding. For your free time after or before your session you can use your activity points and do something else or just relax in resort and enjoy the pure mountain air.
Children aged between 8 and 12 will have their lessons in the morning and teenagers and adults will have their lessons in the afternoon.
For the rest of your free time you have five activity points to spend as you please on more biking, including the option of a full enduro descent which is a popular choice or to try something completely different like paragliding or canyoning.
