Enjoy a Nepal trekking holiday! Manaslu Circuit Trek has an off-beaten path with a peaceful environment & beautiful landscapes.
Embark on a 12-day Nepal trekking holiday!
Situated in the Gorkha district of Nepal and close to the Tibet border, the Manaslu Circuit is an exciting journey through the rugged terrain of the Himalayas. In the Manashree Himalayan range, the Manaslu trek has an off-beaten path and a peaceful environment. It lets you experience beautiful landscapes, ancient cultures, and untouched natural beauty. The Manaslu trek has become famous for trekkers who want to trek in a less crowded area than Everest and Annapurna.
The Manaslu trek goes through the World’s eighth-highest mountain, Mount Manaslu (8163m). Himalchuli (7893 m), Ngadi Chuli (7871 m), Shringi Himal (7187 m), Langpo (6668 m), and Saula (6235 m) are other significant mountains attracting you all along your way to Manaslu. The Manaslu region is known for its diverse landscapes, from lush greenery in the lower areas to snow-capped mountains in the higher part. You’ll walk through rhododendrons and Pine forests, cross several suspension bridges, and see icky lakes and ridges throughout the journey.
The highest point you’ll reach during the Manaslu trek is Larkya La Pass, at 5160. It offers a panoramic view of Mount Manaslu, Annapurna, Ganesh Himal, and the surrounding peaks. Getting to the pass is adventurous yet rewarding, with stunning views. However, you must be physically and mentally fit to begin your journey on the Manaslu trek. It would be best to have previous trekking experience and be involved in physical exercise to start your journey.
As the Manalsu region is restricted, you cannot trek on the Manalsu region solo. The minimum number of trekkers required for the Manaslu trek is two and one guide. Three permits are mandatory for a trek in Manaslu:
The Manaslu Conservation Area permit (MCAP)
The Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP)
The Manaslu restricted permit
All these permits will ensure your safety throughout the trek and show that you’re doing responsible tourism.
Due to the varying altitudes, the Manaslu trek involves some challenges, so it is an adventurous trek. You have to get above 5000m high so altitude sickness may be a concern during the Manaslu trek. If you feel any symptoms of altitude sickness, including headaches, nausea, and dizziness, immediately inform your guide and consider descending. Due to unpredictable weather conditions, the weather may also be a challenge during your trek. Checking weather conditions before starting a trek and packing waterproof gear and extra clothes help you avoid the risks caused by unpredictable weather. Ascending and descending rocky paths also make your journey on the Manaslu trek challenging, so you need to be physically fit for the Manaslu trek.
