Put the well-travelled routes behind you and enjoy the adventure and pleasure of a Morocco cycle holiday. Join us for a Grand tour cycling in Atlas Mountains.
Our Grand tour cycling in Atlas Mountains of Morocco has always been popular with those seeking a little adventure from their riding holidays. This year we have extended the tour to 8 days, from Saturday 14th to Saturday 21st March 2021.
Starting from Marrakesh we will take you up into the High Atlas Mountains, stopping at Imlil Village (base camp for much of the High Atlas Trekking and Climbing); and at a remote hotel on the top of Tizi n\’ Test (one of the most famous passes over the High Atlas). Whilst in the High Atlas you will be living & cycling at altitudes over 2200 meters.
You will then descend the other side of the Atlas Mountains to the Souss Plains along the edge of the Sahara Desert. Passing through Taliouine (famous for its saffron – the world\’s most expensive spice), we will traverse the Souss-Massa with its Mars-like landscape before heading back into the High Atlas Mountains. This time we will use the infamous Tizi n’ Tichka pass to bring us back over the mountains to complete our journey back to Marrakesh.
Our tour of the Atlas Mountains is all-inclusive and fully supported. You will have two guides cycling along with you and a support van following behind. Our local Berber support crews will keep you supplied with freshly brewed mint tea and a fantastic array of fresh local food throughout the day.
We are now taking bookings for the Atlas Grand Tour 2021. If you would like to join this Morocco cycle holiday use the enquiry button to send us a message to reserve your spot.

Day Three: We spend our third day in the beautiful Ouirgane Valley below Mount Toubkal the highest peak in Morocco, passing through gorges and climbing through the High Atlas via the Tizi n'Test, one of Africa's most iconic climbs. We spend the night on the summit, a night to remember. (64 miles with 8,500 ft of elevation)
Day Four: We begin the day with a fabulous descent from Tizi n'Test down to the Souss plains on the edge of the Sahara Desert. The views from here are truly awesome! We then traverse around the base of the Atlas towards the oasis town of Taliouine, dominated by hills and the impressive Glaoui Kasbah. Taliouine is the African centre of L’Or rouge (red gold) – saffron, the world’s most expensive spice. We spend the night at a traditional Kasbah on the edge of town. (55 miles with 4,600 ft of elevation)
Day Seven: For our final day of your Morocco cycle holiday we descend the Tizi n'Tichka Pass and roll through the Zat Valley back in to Marrakech.
