Georgia freeride ski holiday hunting fresh lines in epic powder. This Georgia backcountry adventure includes heli touring in Gudauri & Svaneti plus much more
Until very recently Georgia wasn’t thought of as a top ski destination in Europe. The extensive Caucasus Mountains was shared by just a few locals and the occasional daring ski tourist on a Georgia freeride ski holiday.
This slowly started to change over the last decade though and in the last few years interest has rapidly grown. Now the word has spread and people are coming in from Europe and the rest of the world to see the amazing skiing Georgia has on offer. This includes heli touring in Gudauri & Svaneti plus a lot more!
This 2 week trip is a powder lovers dream. Expect to have to put in some leg work – after all the best lines are rarely free. In the area you can ride everything from cruisy powder bowls to steep couloirs and tree runs to cliff drops, ultimately if you like it steep and deep (or just deep!) this place will have frothing at the mouth with excitement.
During this Georgia freeride ski holiday we will also fit in a few heli drops on the top of peaks. These will be to get us out into the backcountry so we can spend a day accessing untouched snow before being collected once we are finished.
As with any Snowbusters adventure, we won’t just guide you to the best lines, we also teach you the skills you need to stay safe and ride with more style. We’ll cover avalanche safety, practice rescue situations and address deficiencies in your technique.
The final itinerary depends on the conditions and weather. However, we’ll fit in some ski touring or splitboarding, cat-skiing, lift accessible off-piste both in- and out-bounds and, of course, squeeze in the time to down a few jars.
We will visit the following areas int he Caucasus Mountains:
GUDAURI
SVANETI
Join Snowbusters for a Georgia backcountry adventure heli touring in Gudauri & Svaneti and much more. Your only regret will be why you didn’t visit sooner.
