This snowboarding holiday in Norway offers freeriding in the beautiful Lofoten Islands.
Freeriding Lofoten Islands: Embark on an unforgettable snowboarding holiday in Norway!
The Lofoten Islands, 68 degrees north, inside the Artic circle in North Norway. The main income for these islands comes out the fishery and the summer tourism. The winter months are short and dark. When finally spring arrives, when the Alps are getting green, days in the Lofoten are getting longer which is ideal for touring.
After touring we have time for sightseeing, surfing, fishing, sauna, bouldering and with a bit of luck we see the Northen lights, elks or sea eagles. From April there is planty of daylight (sunset 10pm).
Splitboarding on the Lofoten is getting more and more famous by splitboarders and tour skiers. Most mountain peaks except for few have an average of 750 vertical meters, there are easy and difficult descents, this makes it interesting for touring and for all levels. Join us on splitboard/ tourski to hike and ride in one of the most magnificent places on earth.
We will meet at the airport of Harstad/Narvik (EVE) and from there we drive at the latest at 6 pm with rental cars to the holy grail of skitouring / splitboarding. In total there will be 6 guided days on different locations, reached by car.
