What to expect

Day 01: Colombo Airport - Sigiriya

Arrival at the Colombo International Airport. Clients will be Welcome by our CEYLON CLASSIC TOURS representative and transfer to Hotel at Sigiriya. After a brief relaxed evening climb to the Rock fortress Sigiriya. Sigiriya (Lion's rock) is an ancient rock fortress and palace built during the reign of King Kassapa I (AD 477 – 495). Contemporary with the paintings of Ajantha and Ellora Caves in India, highlights being the Frescoes, Mirror Wall, and the Lion's Paw, and it is one of the Seven World Heritage Sites of Sri Lanka.

Day 02: Sigiriya - Habarana - Polonnaruwa – Sigiriya

After breakfast, leave for Polonnaruwa via Habarana. In Habarana join the place elephant ride.
Then do a sightseeing tour in ancient city Polonnaruwa (11th Century AD), visit the many sites of archaeological and historical interest in the Sacred City including the Grate Statue, Quadrangle, Royal Palace, Gal Viharaya, Kumara and Lotus Ponds, Thiwanka Image House, and many more. And see one of the country’s biggest water reservoir Parakrama Samudraya. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel in Sigiriya.

Day 03: Sigiriya - Dambulla - Nalanda - Matale – Kandy

After breakfast leave for Kandy via Dambulla, Nalanda and Matale. First, visit the Dambulla cave Temple. It is the largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka. The rock towers 160 m over the surrounding plains. There are more than 80 documented caves in the surrounding. Major attractions are spread over 5 caves, which contain statues and paintings. These paintings and statues are related to Lord Buddha and his life. There are a total of 153 Buddha statues, 3 statues of Sri Lankan kings, and 4 statues of god and goddess. Then visit Gedige at Nalanda one of the remarkable archaeological sites in Sri Lanka & enjoying the Spice garden at Matale and take part in a conducted tour to get some knowledge about the growth and use of spices in the day to day life. Day 04: Kandy - Pinnawala – Kandy

After breakfast does an excursion Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage, is an orphanage and breeding ground for wild elephants.

Day 05: Kandy City tour

After a breakfast city tour of Kandy including the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic of Buddha - by far the most important place of worship for Buddhists the world over, Upper Lake drive a place where one could have a bird's eye view of the city below.
Evening visit Botanical garden at Peradeniya, It is the largest botanical garden on the island. It is renowned for the collection of a variety of Orchids and has more than 300 varieties of Orchids, more than 5000 spices, medicinal plants, and palm trees attach it is the National Herbarium. DAY: 06Kandy - Negombo

After breakfast leave for Negombo. Evening relaxes on the Beach. Dinner and overnight stay at a hotel in Negombo.
