On the 9 day East Africa Safari you will explore the best of Kenya and Tanzania, touching vivid landscapes filled with millions of wild animals. The drama of East Africa will greet you each morning with a dazzling sunrise beginning your daily adventure. You will start with home of Elephants and the sweet drip of the highest Mountain in Africa Mount Kilimanjaro.
After that, you will view the amazing Great Rift Valley before landing at the Pink Lake Nakuru.
Masai Mara and Serengeti are neighbours and will wildebeest Migration between July and October of each year you will be satisfied with the experience.
Three million years ago a large volcano exploded here. What remained was the Ngorongoro crater floor – 610 m deep and 260 square km or 100 square miles in area. This is where we will descend to discover unsurpassed game viewing in a special world unto itself as you continue searching for wildlife as you interact with the people and culture.
Itinerary for the best of Kenya and Tanzania Safari
DAY 1: NAIROBI CITY to AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK (L, D)
Your driver guide will pick you from your hotel, residence or airport at 0800hrs. The journey to the wild starts with Amboseli National Park arriving in time for lunch at the lodge or Camp. You will check in and Freshen up then proceed for the very first game which will start around 15:00hrs.
The Park has a perfect view of Africa’s highest mountain, Kilimanjaro in the backdrop! Dinner and overnight at camp or Lodge.
Amboseli National Park provides the classic Hollywood image of Africa. Set in rolling savannah scenery it is dwarfed by the presence of the pink-tinged, snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro which, at 5,896 meters, is the highest free-standing mountain in the world and topped by one fifth of all the ice in Africa.
Against this magnificent backdrop roam vast herds of elephant accompanied by a kaleidoscope of other fabulous beasts -lion, buffalo, cheetah, giraffe, baboon, gazelle hippo and wildebeest to name but a few. There are also over 400 species of birds, all manner of reptilian, flora and fauna and some of the most soul-searing views in Africa.
DAY 2: AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK(B, L, D)
After breakfast, proceed for a morning game viewing drive. Return to the camp or Lodge for lunch. After lunch you relax awaiting another evening game drive in search of herds of elephants, plains game and the several bird species that are resident in this park. Dinner and overnight at Lodge or Camp
DAY 3 AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK to LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK(B, L, D)
After breakfast depart Amboseli National Park for the most famous Lake Nakuru National Park via the great Rift Valley for viewing and photography. You will arrive in good time for lunch at your budget town hotel or Lodge.
"The Pink" Lake National Park, was named so for its stunning flocks of lesser and greater flamingos, which literally turn its shores pink. Its birdlife is world renowned: a beacon for leading Ornithologists, scientists and wildlife filmmakers. The park spans an attractive range of wooded and bush grassland around the lake offering wide ecological diversity, from lake water, and woodland to the rocky escarpments and ridges.
Notable game within the lake includes hippo and clawless otters. On the shores roam waterbuck, Bohor’s Reedbuck and zebra. The woodlands and forest are now home to both black and white rhino. Game viewing is relatively easy: buffalo, leopard, tree climbing-lions, Rothschild’s giraffe, Black and White Colobus monkey are plentiful in the forest.
The bush lands offer eland, steenbok, impala, Chandlers reedbuck and dik dik, whilst rock hyrax and klipspringer occupy the cliffs and escarpment.

DAY 4: LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK to MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE(B,L,D)
After breakfast, proceed for a morning game drive as you leave Lake Nakuru National Park for a 4-hour drive to Masai Mara Game Reserve ascending the Great Rift Valley for breathtaking views and photography.
The Rift Valley formed millions of years ago. Stretching some 5,000 miles from Jordan to Mozambique, the valley is the largest Rift on Earth. Descend the escarpment and drive to Narok-town where you will stop for an early hot lunch and then proceed with your journey to arrive at the Lodge or camp, check in, freshen up then go for your evening game drive.
Masai Mara is well known for the black manned lions and yearly migration of wildebeests and the big-five. Dinner and overnight at Lodge or Camp(B, L, D).
DAY 5: MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE (B, L, D)
A full day spent game viewing a cross the rich savannah grassland and rolling hills. The famous Mara is renowned for its great herds of plain game, black-manned lions, leopard and cheetah but also contains numerous elephants and virtually every type of wildlife to be found here in the Mara.
Every year between July and October the wildebeest migrate from Serengeti to Masai Mara in search of grass and water. This is a great experience which has been named the wonder of the world.
Dinner and overnight at Semi permanent Camp or Lodge (B, L, D).
DAY 6: MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE to TANZANIA SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK THROUGH ISEBANIA BOARDER(B, L, D)
An early morning breakfast to enable you get to the boarder of Kenya and Tanzania in good time. You will leave Masai Mara with game drive en-route.
Kenyan guide will hand you over to the Tanzania driver guide at the Isebania, for your remaining days safari. You will have your game drive as you head to your camp or Lodge for Dinner and overnight.
DAY 7: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK to NGORONGORO CRATER(B, L, D)
This morning after breakfast you will depart Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater passing through Olduvai Gorge. This is the site of the Leakey family discovery of fossils of human and animal ancestors dating back to almost two million years. Meals and overnight at your Camp or Lodge
DAY 8: NGORONGORO CRATER to TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK(B, L, D)
After a great and satisfying game drive in Ngorongoro Crater, you will depart for Tarangire. With a permanent water source, the park is virtually guaranteed enormous herds and excellent game viewing including cheetah, lion (some tree-climbing!), leopard and hyena and a herd of 3,500 elephants.
The park is also host to a number of rare species including eland, oryx, kudu and gerenuka tranquil oasis overlooking the rolling plains.Dinner and overnight stay at a camp or Lodge. Herds, thousands of baobabs, the greatest concentrations of game in Tanzania, and great avian diversity! We will spent full day in this park. Dinner and overnight stay at your Camp or Lodge
DAY 9: TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK to ARUSHA TOWN (B, L,)
The last day of your 9 day East Africa Safari departs Tarangire with a game drive to arrive Arusha Town late afternoon. Your driver guide will drop you at the airport to catch your flight back at home.
If your flight is from Kenya, you will connect by either road through Namanga Boarder or by air to JKIA
