Enjoy the splendour of Africa on our Dinosaur Delights Safari in Zimbabwe. We take you back in time where dinosaurs roamed our land!
You start in Kariba at our exclusive en-suite tented camp on the lakeshore, settling in to the Zambezi Valley area. We then move east, over the hills and down the other side to spend 3 days in the Chewore Safari Area. Here you get a chance to see where the Dinosaurs roamed the land, leaving behind only footprints (as we should also do).
Then you can also compare that to today’s giants such as elephants and hippos, together with today’s dinosaurs…the crocodile, with a few days in Mana Pools, a World heritage Site. We spend 2 days here, enjoying the huge variety of game that Mana has to offer…such a tranquil place to be at one with nature and enjoy the beauty that this world gives us for free every day!

Day 1 of your Dinosaur Delights Safari in Zimbabwe
Arrive Warthogs Safari Camp in Kariba. If you arrive early enough there will be time to cool off in the pool and then a game drive and sundowners.
Overnight at Warthogs in our DELUXE en suite safari tents (Dinner, Bed and Breakfast)
Day 2,3
We’ll have a fairly early start so we can get on the road for a slow drive down the escarpment into Mana Pools. On the way we can stop at some of the places of interest…one of these being the 2nd biggest baobab tree in Southern Africa.
On arrival in Mana we head to Elephant Creek Tented Camp (Full board)
Then continue to sit back and relax while we are your hosts for 2 nights. We will take you on game drives whenever you wish and show you some of the hidden secrets of Mana Pools. There will also be a chance to have a go at some bank fishing…maybe you might catch us some pre-dinner snacks!
Day 4,5,6
Moving downstream we drive into the Chewore Safari Area to a camp by the Mana/Angwa rivers.
Overnighting at Warthogs Fly Camp, we have 3 days to explore the rarely seen Pteropod and Sauropod dinosaur footprints and Pterodactyl fossil. The whole area is full of stunning scenery and rock formations and we take slow meandering drives down many sandy riverbeds to amazing places. One of the days we can set up lunch in one the river spots and watch the world go by...a delight for any birdwatcher! (Full board)
Day 7
Transfer back to Kariba and Warthogs Safari Camp for your last night under the stars. (Full board)
