Lots of great adventure riding on this 9 day Thailand motor cycling Private Tour from Pattaya to Chiang Mai. This tour has outstanding scenery and a full taste of much of what Thailand has to offer.
Riding highlights are the Pai to Chiang Mail route with over 750 curves and changes in elevation. Cultural experiences in Chiang Mai provide you an authentic taste of the old and the new in Thailand. Whilst offering you the opportunity to contrast the cities of Pattaya to Chiang Mai.
Pai simply delivers paradise, once a drop out for hippes and travellers and as such the town very much commands it’s own unique charm.
All tour members have their own private room on each of our night stops at a min 3*or 4* hotel.

What to expect

Day 1 - Pattaya to Khao Yai National Park

Once all the paperwork and bike orientation is completed it’s time to mount up and hit the road. Our first destination is Thailand’s 3rd largest National Park at Khao Yai a journey of some 190 km through beautiful countryside to the park entrance.

A great excursion around this long-standing nature preserve, we get to view its stunning waterfalls the highlight of which is the 150m-tall Haew Narok. The park is home to a variety and diversity of wildlife, don’t be surprised to see elephants, bears, gibbons, hornbills and many other indiginous wildlife.
Our overnight hotel is close to the park, arriving late afternoon gives to you time freshen up and prepare for dinner.

Khao Yai National Park Our first destination is Thailand’s 3rd largest National Park at Khao Yai a journey of some 190 km through beautiful countryside to the park entrance. Day 2 - Khao Yai to Phetchabun overnight

After breakfast a quick pack and then we hit the road again for approximately 280km to Phetchabun Province in northern-central Thailand.

Phetchabun nestles in the Pa Sak River valley which sits between the two ranges of the Phetchabun Mountains and incorporates Si Thep Historical Park which contains the ruins of an ancient Khmer Empire city which showcases some magnificent sculptures. Khao Kho National Park in the northwest, benefits from a cooler climate because of forested mountains and many streams and waterfalls.
Lots of great twists and curves to enjoy as we head to our overnight hotel and dinner.
Overnight Phetchabun

Day 3 - Phetchabun to Phu Tub Berk (1768m H) then overNight in Khao Kho

We will be soaring amongst the clouds today. Post breakfast we make the short 97km journey to Phu Tub Berk which is the tallest mountain in the province standing at almost 1,800 metres. Some great curves and loops and changes in elevation as we ascend. During our climb you will start to feel the cooler air as the ambient temperture drop.
This mountain is a renowned agricultural centre for cabbages and other vegetables and fruits, boasting Thailand’s largest cabbage patch.
More twists and curves, as we head to our overnight stop at Khao Kho, which is commonly known as Thailand’s Magical city above the clouds.

Day 4 - Khao Kho to Mae Sot Burmese Border overnight

Leaving the clouds after breakfast and head out on a classic adventure ride of approx 344km to the Burmese (Myanmar) border town of Mae Sot.
Rivers, valleys, farms and small towns, we pass through two National Park’s en-route. There will of course be a lunch stop and some great photo opportunities at points of interest.
We intend to arrive at our hotel around 5pm, so plenty of time freshen up before dinner.

Day 5 - Mae Sot to Mae Sariang

After breakfast we set off for a scenic ride along the Burmese (Myanmar) border before turning inland to Mae Sariang.
Part of the famous Mae Hong Son Loop, it’s a stunningly beautiful,. A number of stops to enjoy a slowness of life and fantastic scenery will be incorporated into the days riding.

Day 6 - Mae Sariang to Pai

After a fairly leisurely breakfast we set off to Pai. A loop across to view the Salawin National Park, then its approx 180km heading northward up to Pai.
A picturesque town with the scenic Pai River running through the eastern part of town. Bamboo rafting and white-river rafting takes place on the river. There are plenty of evening bars and cafes to choose from.
There is also the World War II Memorial Bridge, affectionately known as “The Bridge over The River Pai”.
Dinner and a restful overnight stay in this special town.

Day 7 - Pai to Chiang Mai

Post breakfast we set off to cover approx 260km to the ancient city of Chiang Mai, lots to see and lots of road to cover today on this fantastic route.
Someone could have almost specifically made the roads for touring bikes, the route features a plethora of twists and turnss and changes in elevation. Motor cycling “Nirvana” some would say.
Our journey will pass through or close to several National Park’s before arriving into the ancient Siamese walled city of Chiang Mai, late afternoon.
Our overnight quality hotel awaits us with a relaxing dinner.

Day 8 - Explore Chiang Mai

The largest city in Northern Thailand and founded in 1294. Much of its ancient heritage remains in tact enabling you can stroll through the old city gates around the cities ancient walls.
So much to see and do in Chiang Mai or simply just stroll through the old town and chill out in the little hidden coffee shops.
Enjoy exploring the so-called ‘Rose of the North’.

½ Day 9

Breakfast done, then it’s time to say goodbye and take away the memories of a fantastic experience and adventure. You can make your own onward arrangements to stay on in the Chiang Mai area or book onward flights.
