On day four of the trip, you will trek chimpanzees at the Kalinzu forest game reserve. The 4-day tour is scheduled to begin in Kigali, Rwanda, but can end either in Kigali or Kampala/Entebbe. We recommend Kigali pickup on day one, given that Kigali is close to Bwindi national park (4hrs drive) compared to Entebbe/Kampala, which is an 8-9hrs drive to Bwindi national park.

The 4-Day Chimp, Wildlife, and Gorilla Trekking Safari in Uganda continues through the nearby Kisoro town and finally to Bwindi national park. The journey should take about 4-5 hrs. Arriving at Bwindi national park early afternoon will allow you to do optional activities such as hiking, visiting the community, etc. Since Bwindi is closer to Kigali, it is possible to depart Kigali around mid-day.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking adventure at Bwindi National Park. You will head to the Bwindi National Park gate immediately after breakfast to get a briefing about the gorilla trek. The presentation by the national park guide and will cover the basics of what to expect during the trek.
It is at this point that you will know which gorilla family to trek. Other visitors will likely join you. The gorilla trek can take from few to many hours, depending on how far the gorillas are inside the forest. Note: Depending on the availability of gorilla trekking permits, we might suggest trekking the gorillas at Mgahinga Gorilla National Park.
Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park via the Ishasha sector for tree-climbing lions. We will start the journey in the morning from Kisoro/Bwindi area and drive to Queen Elizabeth national park. On the way from Kisoro/Bwindi, we will drive through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, popularly known for the tree-climbing lions. While the sighting of the tree-climbing lions is not 100% guaranteed, it is well worth a stopover at Ishasha during the 4-Day Chimp, Wildlife, and Gorilla Trekking Safari in Uganda!
