On this 3-day Uganda safari holiday, you will experience gorilla tracking & Batwa cultural talks. A trip that takes you to the misty Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, which is home to more than half the population of the remaining 720 Mountain Gorillas. Bwindi Impenetrable forest offers a unique birding opportunity, cultural experiences, a scenic allure of stunning hills and lush vegetation inhabited by the elusive primates. You will experience life time watching at close range these majestic apes as they feed, play and relax.

If your dream is mountain gorilla trekking, Uganda is the place to go. Rwanda is the only other country in which these gentle giants can be encountered on a trek, and Ugandan permits are a fraction of the price charged over the border. Apart from gorilla trekking, there are lots of other things to do in Uganda. The country is home to many primates and Kibale NP offers amazing chimpanzee trekking and habituation experiences. Kidepo Valley, Queen Elizabeth and Murchison Falls National Parks are great for game drives in a savannah environment with plenty of lion, buffalo and elephant, as well as a range of antelope species. The country is particularly scenic and has a lot to offer to people with a keen interest in natural history and those who enjoy active holidays.

Your safari will start from either a hotel or Entebbe airport where you will be picked up by your Driver/Guide who will brief you about your tour and then depart for Bwindi Impenetrable national park. An early morning start from Kampala after your Breakfast takes you southwest Uganda by road with your driver, cross the Equator, and then to Mbarara for Lunch and through Savannah grasslands to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will arrive in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the evening then you relax at your lodge as you prepare for the gorilla trekking experience the following day in Bwindi impenetrable national park.

Day 2: Gorilla tracking experience and batwa cultural talks, optional

You will have an early breakfast and be driven to the Park Headquarters for a briefing at 7:30am about the rules of Gorilla tracking. After the briefing, you will set off for the Gorilla hunt in the thick jungle. The jungle is very lively with rich forest sounds. The trek ranges between 2 – 8 hours and you have one hour to stay with the Gorillas once sited. In the afternoon you can opt for a community walk among the Batwa people who used to live in the Bwindi forest before it was gazetted as a National Park and learn about their life and culture as a forest people. You will have dinner and overnight at your previous lodge.

Day 3: Transfer back to Kampala
