Accumulating everything good about the Annapurnas, the Annapurna Sanctuary Trek is one of the classic trekking routes around the region. Connecting an unforgettable Himalayan sunrise as seen from Poon Hill to the Base Camp of Annapurna I (8,091m), this journey simply has it all. Trekking through the lush green forests guided by the majestic Himalayas on the horizon, the journey takes us to the quaint Gurung hamlets where ancient culture is reflected in the unique way of the villager’s lives. Perhaps one of the most aesthetically pleasing journeys, the sights of entire forests covered in veritable shades of red, white, and pink foliage simply demands your attention.

Taking a day off at the Kathmandu valley to tour its stunning heritage, while also preparing for the trip, we begin our Himalayan adventure by heading towards the stunning city of Pokhara. Driving towards the trailhead at Nayapul, we begin the journey heading towards the hamlet of Tikhedhunga for our first night on the go. Climbing the arduous staircase over to Ulleri, we will reach Ghorepani before heading towards the Himalayan viewpoint of Poon Hill. Enjoying the stunning Himalayan panorama of the majestic Annapurna Himalayas, we will then make our way back to the hamlet of Sinuwa before heading towards Deurali.

Further on, the path crosses the Machhapuchhre Base Camp and the trail then takes us to the Annapurna Base Camp at an altitude of 4130m. Exploring the stunning Himalayan landscape, we will then make our way over to the village of Bamboo before enjoying the pleasantly hot water springs at Jhinu Danda. The final days of the trek let us journey over to the hamlet of Pothana before we eventually descend towards the Phedi village, which brings our trek to a close.
