The vast, continent-sized country of Australia has plenty of space. That, combined with a love of the outdoor lifestyle and sports at the more extreme end of the spectrum, means Australia skydive opportunities are some of the best in the world.
It may be on the other side of the world but there are few countries that can compete in terms of the ultimate skydiving experience. The sheer scale of the country means there are dropzones where you’ll be jumping over colossal red deserts, beautiful blue coastline and vibrant green rainforest. Depending on where you are based, your Australia skydive experience can really vary.
Head up north and find places to stay in Darwin to discover some spectacular dropzones. Experience 200 kilometres per hour freefalling over the stunning Litchfield National Park just a few hours drive from the city. There are also incredible skydiving experiences on offer in Perth, Melbourne and Sydney.
Of course, any trip to Australia will let you take in everything else this great country has to offer – and we mean great. From the Great Barrier Reef to the Great Ocean Road and Great Sandy Desert, there’s a lot of great stuff to do Down Under.
There is skydiving for all sorts of jumpers in Australia too. Whether you’re looking for a fun, tandem jump as a beginner or to learn the ropes of the sport and attempt your first individual freefall jump, there is instruction available near all the major dropzones around Australia.
So, if you’re just passing through while travelling or if you’re planning a more serious Australia skydive adventure, this is a country that offers the lot. And, of course, this being Australia it all comes with the warmest of welcomes and good-natured banter. Apart from the skydiving, try not to take anything else too seriously.
Hey! When are you going to kunnunura?
Hi Bianca – thanks for the comment but not sure what you mean, perhaps you have us confused with someone else?
Please send more info…
Cheers Luke
hey I was wondering if you guys do jumps in Hobart Tasmania and if so where?
Hi Jennifer
I am sorry but we are not a skydive operator so do not provide jumps. The site is a blog about skydiving.
Unfortunately as far as I am aware the skydive operator in Tasmania closed a year or 2 ago. Its a shame as its a beautiful part of the world. If you want an adrenalin fix I would suggest rafting as the Franklin river in Tasmania makes it into the 10 best white water rafting rivers in the world
