If you have ever wanted to go snorkelling in Mexico, then a snorkel experience in a cenote is the ultimate adventure in the Mexican Caribbean.
Instead of going to the beach, the cenotes offer a different kind of beauty. These natural swimming holes are amazing to cool off in the crystal clear bright blue pools with incredible visibility. They offer astonishing light shows that you can only find right in the Riviera Maya, with dramatic limestone formations.
Besides the natural beauty, there is a lot of history and spiritual allure that inspired the Mayas thousands of years ago and is still the main reason for many to travel to Mexico.
Your guide will ensure that you will have a safe and unforgettable personalized cenote experience. Showing you the highlights of the area, with different aquatic life and great views. With basic swimming skills, you don’t have to miss out!

Snorkel tour in the Mexican Caribbean to one cenote will generally take half a day. The day starts at 8:30 AM.
Wherever you stay in the area of Playa del Carmen to Tulum, our staff will pick you up from the reception or a close agreed meeting point (occasionally due to inaccessibility at resorts).
Your guide will provide a thorough briefing at Maya Blue (or cenote) concerning snorkelling procedures, safety, cenote regulation, history, and any points of interest.
After everything is crystal and you’ll have a good understanding what you can expect, we will provide transportation to go to the cenote. We insist on small groups and have private vehicles available, to avoid overcrowded mini-vans.
Arrived at the cenote, your guide will show you around the jungle area, cenote facilities and the points of easy entry and exit. Once in the water, the guide will show you the magical blue realm.
We bid you farewell and hope you enjoy the rest of your time in Mexico.
Then there will be lunch and beverages, that are included. After lunch, you will have some free time at the cenote.
Finally, after a half-day of exploring the cenote, your guide will drive you back to your accommodation.
You will approximately arrive at your accommodation around 14.00 PM, to reflect on a beautiful day with Maya Blue.
