Experience the thrill of flying like a bird and take in breathtaking views of the Himalayas with a pilot by your side.
Paragliding is one of the most thrilling adventure activities you can do in Pokhara. It offers a unique perspective of the region as you soar through the air with the help of a parachute-like canopy and harness. With the stunning natural beauty of the Himalayan mountain range as a backdrop, paragliding in Pokhara is an experience that you won’t forget.
The paragliding flights are tandem, meaning you will fly with an experienced guide who will control the canopy while you enjoy the ride. The takeoff location is Sarangkot, a popular hill station just a short distance from Pokhara. From there, you’ll glide through the sky for around 30 minutes, taking in panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, including the Phewa Lake, lush forests, and traditional Nepalese villages.
Paragliding is available year-round, but the best time to go is from September to November or from March to May when the weather conditions are most suitable for flying. The activity is suitable for anyone aged 18 and above, and no prior experience is required. Before takeoff, your guide will give you a briefing on safety procedures and the basics of paragliding.
Overall, paragliding in Pokhara is a must-do activity for anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable adventure in Nepal.
