On the Tofane there are some great lines from 400 to 900 meters in length; there are well known modern routes of 1000 meters or more on the sunny and solid south face of the Marmolada or on the scary north face of the Civetta.

What to expect

Cortina d’Ampezzo is a true paradise for the classic climbers looking for reaching the beautiful Dolomite peaks: they will find in the Ampezzo valley a fantastic place to play, with the added value of the natural beauty of the locations of the numerous crags in this area.

You can choose to climb in Cinque Torri: this small formation is composed of several giant blocks of Dolostone, shaped as vertical towers of various heights; while the Torre Grande (the Big Tower) is 170 meters in height, some smaller blocks do not even reach 10 meters. Thanks to their infinite variety of shapes and sizes, the marvellous Cinque Torri ideally represent the entire Dolomites.

Or you can choose to climb a very long multi pitch route (24 pitches), as the south face of Tofana di Rozes: All the climbers who watch south wall of Rozes want climb it, at least once in their lifetime.
Great route, open over a hundred years ago! For sure is one of the best trad climbing routes in Dolomites. Although some sections are very easy, the route is never trivial.

The tariffs for a given route are predetermined and vary according to the specific route. They vary also according to the length and difficulty of the itinerary. The minimum daily salary of the Cortina Mountain Guides is 330 Euros.
