The Kennebec River trip is offered daily thanks to guaranteed 5,000 cfs water releases from May to October. Th first section of the trip through the Upper Gorge has adrenaline pumping Class III-V whitewater and the lower section offers a chance to swim and view the wildlife while paddling Class I and II rapids.

Minimum age is 10. The trip is followed by a hearty BBQ of steak, chicken fish, or veggie burger, vegetable rice, coleslaw, rolls and homemade dessert. Following the barbecue, there is a slide presentation and video of your day\’s adventures. Photos and videos of your adventure is available for sale.

What to expect

Check in at 9 am to receive your gear and safety and paddling instructions for your white water rafting experience.
Transport via the Magic Bus to Harris Station Power Dam, Maine
Launch at Harris Station between 10 and 10:30
Paddle the Kennebec River upper gorge of Class 3-5 rapids and lower gorge of class 1-2 rapids arriving at takeout in West Forks around 2 pm.
Back at basecamp enjoy a Hearty BBQ with choice of steak, chicken fish or veggie burger, rice, cole slaw, rolls, lemonade and homemade dessert
View a video and slideshow of your day's trip. Photos and videos are available for purchase along with souvenirs.
Camping and lodging are available for those who want to stay overnight.
