Don't miss your chance to experience the number one scuba dive site on Gran Canaria, the El Cabrón Marine Reserve. A Beginners dive experience at the Canary Islands
Don’t miss your chance to experience the number one dive site on Gran Canaria, the El Cabrón Marine Reserve. This is an ideal beginners scuba dive experience at the Canary Islands.
For over twenty years they have been showing students the amazing variety of marine life of the Canary Islands, in the warm clear waters of Playa del Cabrón.
Even as a beginner you can see an authentic mix of Canarian underwater life. On your dive you will see small colourful creatures such as nudibrachs, damselfish, parrotfish and striped mullet; watch some amazing creatures such as cuttlefish, stargazer and trumpetfish, and if you are lucky you may find larger animals such as barracudas, angel sharks, and rays.
Your excursion starts in the sub-tropical garden which forms part of the dive centre. You will learn about the basics of Scuba diving, outside in the sunshine or under the shade of the fig, pomegranate and mango trees.
Your adventure then continues in the sheltered waters of the Playa del Cabrón where you start with a practice in shallow water.
Then it\’s heads down, into the blue for a shallow dive of about 35-40 minutes, with one instructor looking after every pair of students.
You get to explore this sheltered part of the Reserve and experience the thrill of breathing and floating underwater. You will almost certainly see damselfish, wrasse, parrotfish, bream, pufferfish, striped mullet and probably a lot more.
Pick up for your scuba dive experience at about 9.00am from resorts in the South of Gran Canaria, or Las Palmas in the North.
