Our Ultimate Adventure heli rafting trip is a full day rafting adventure. It’s the only tour that rafts all 3 canyons of the Kicking Horse River, making it the most complete experience available. It’s also exclusive to Glacier Raft Company.
The Ultimate Adventure start off rafting the Upper Canyon of the river which is the calmest stretch. It’s beautiful and scenic and offer a few splashes to give you a sense of what’s to come. You then stop for a riverside BBQ lunch, before getting back in the raft to hit the whitewater.
The Middle Canyon is next and it offers class 2 – 4 rapids throughout it’s entire 13 km stretch. From the take out of the Middle Canyon, the helicopter flies in to pick you up. It flies you over an un-raftable stretch of the river before dropping you off at the put in for the Lower Canyon. From here you raft another 12+ km of amazing class 3 and 4 rapids before finishing with a float through the town of Golden, BC
You’ll be rafting some of the best whitewater in Canada and flying in a helicopter to get there – doesn’t get cooler than that!
Canada Multi-Activity Adventure on the Kicking Horse River: Itinerary
This trip rafts on Wednesdays and Saturdays from mid July until the start of September. It starts at 9:15 am and returns to our base at 5:15 pm.
We ask that you arrive around 9:00 am so we have time to check you in.
You'll start your day with an intro briefing at our base and then our bus will shuttle you to the river. You start by rafting the calm upper canyon and then enjoy a riverside BBQ lunch before getting back into the raft to enjoy the big rapids of the middle canyon.
After rafting the middle canyon, the helicopter will fly in, pick you up, and fly you to the put-in for the lower canyon where you'll raft another amazing stretch of whitewater.
We finish our day back at our rafting base with a drink around our campfire. You also have a chance to view all of your photos and videos at the end of your trip. We have a professional photographer and the guides wear GoPros to capture the action of your day, and they're available to purchase.
