This ride takes you right from the bottom to the top of the mountain – into the snow in winter!! Unquestionably New Zealand’s best guided quad bike tour. 16 years old and up.
We currently offer a fantastic fleet of blue Yamaha 350cc, “Grizzly Ultramatic” Quad bikes. Fully automatic gearing and 4WD capability provides rider safety and comfort (heated handle grips as well!). We offer a variety of trails which allows us to cater for your requirements. Whether you have never ridden a quad before or really want to go exploring the high country, we tailor the ride for you!
We are the only operator offering quad bike tours in Wanaka, a fantastic way to get up to those amazing alpine vantage points, often only accessible by quad bike!
We specialise in taking small groups only and can be very flexible with departure times so give us a call to see what we can do for you today.
Minimum group size is two riders, single riders will be waitlisted to be confirmed upon others booking the same scheduled tour.
The Wanaka Mountain Quad Bike Tour runs at 10am & 1pm daily from THE CARDRONA HORSE TREKS & QUAD BIKE TOURS, 2125 Cardrona Valley Road, Wanaka 9382
Meet and greet with your friendly guide who will provide you with registration paperwork (health & safety requirement) fit you with a helmet then make sure you are adequately dressed for the mountains (please bring warm clothes & a jacket). Then seated on your blue Yamaha Grizzly 350cc quad bike you will listen to a pre ride safety briefing delivered by your guide followed by a lesson on how to operate the bikes safely. Riding out shortly after you will have a chance to practice on the flat before you travel through farmland then up into the mountains, way up in to the alpine zone (sometimes in the snow in winter!) Enjoy interesting commentary about Cardrona history and scenery from your guide along the way, creek crossings and amazing photo opportunities.
Finished just after 12 noon for the morning tour or just after 3pm for the afternoon tour. We leave you with amazing memories of your quad biking experience in New Zealand
