On this enduro mountain biking tour in you’ll spend a day in the beautiful national parks of Bohemian Switzerland and Saxon Switzerland. The name is misleading, as they straddle the Czech-German border a very long way from Switzerland.
Bohemian Switzerland and Saxon Switzerland were named by a pair of Swiss Romantic painters who once travelled, and painted in the area. The countryside reminded them of the Alpine landscape in Switzerland and the name stuck.
This Backcountry enduro MTB in Czech Republic is full of challenging uphills, exhilarating downhills and many technical sections. There are rock gardens on both the local natural trails as well as the purpose built routes to keep even the most experienced mountain bikers entertained.
You’ll ride Děčínský Sněžník the major sandstone mesa of the area. With an elevation of 723 m above sea level, it is not only the highest and the largest table top mountain in the Czech Republic, but also a popular starting point for the local trails.
From the summit there are stunning views of the surrounding countryside. Plus you’ll also riding trails through the deepest sandstone canyon in Europe. Expect to see plenty of bizarre rock formations.
To ensure everyone gets the most from their ride, your guide will assess your abilities and choose a trail suited to your skills and fitness. You will start by getting kitted out at our rental shop in Děčín.
We will then transport you to one of the enduro areas. Your Backcountry enduro MTB in Czech Republic will start at either the Sneznik table top mountain or at Telnice trails. This means you can avoid the long ascent by taking our shuttle.
