Located on the Bay of Santa Verónica, Casa Agua Vela Hostal welcomes you in an authentic and friendly atmosphere to make your stay in Colombia unforgettable. Santa Verónica offers excellent conditions for kitesurfing and windsurfing and a lot more on the Caribbean coast.
With regular 25 to 35 knots side/side-on trade winds from December to the end of April and 15 to 25 knots from May to July. The air temperature is around 28°C all year and water temperature about 26°C to no need for a wetsuit.
Santa Veronica is the number 1 kitespot for February and March and known as “The Fan” by the magazine Stance. There are several spots close to the Casa offering different styles of kitesurfing: waves, bump & jump, freeride and freestyle. Organization of downwinders and equipment rental can be made at Santa Verónica Kite Club.
The Casa Agua Vela Hostal offers you different types of rooms to satisfy your needs: loft, single and double rooms, dormitory. We have five rooms and a maximum capacity for 16 people. A seven night stay would cost from €140 to €420 but with the 10% Casa Agua Vela Hostal discount you can make a big saving.
There is plenty to do when you are not on the water or for people not into kitesurfing or windsurfing. Of course you can rest and relax in our facilities, and discover our fascinating region, with its warm people, its beaches and its exceptional climate. But you can also do cultural trips to Cartagena or Barranquilla plus other local sites, visit a volcano, tour the rainforest or swim in a waterfall.
