The Umkomaas Discover Scuba Diving Course in South Africa teaches you the basic skills needed to know on how to breath underwater and the safety tips of being underneath the water. Regulator and masks skills are done, including ins and outs of how to use to gear.
The Discover Scuba course is a crash course for those who would like to give scuba diving a go but are not sure yet if it will be for them. Should you wish to carry on with scuba diving and go to Open Water course the Discover Scuba course has already taught you the first 3 modules of the full course that you need to know.
Discover Scuba is a great way to enjoy the underwater world and see the amazing marine life.
On day 1 of the Umkomaas Discover Scuba Diving Course in South Africa you will be meet your instructor, go through some theory work and your instructor will explain the course to you in detail. Basic skills will be done in the pool with the instructor.
He/she will demonstrate first and then tell you to do the same. The time in the pool depends on the student as you need to be comfortable and understand the skills before we can take you out to the ocean.
If the instructor is happy with your process and all skills has been done he will sign you off and you will be going out for your reef dive in the ocean the following day. The course allows you to dive to 12m with an Instructor only.
