Learn to dive in Costa Rica with the Open Water Diver Course, the most popular scuba diving certification!
This Open Water Diver Course in Costa Rica is a certification course designed to give students the necessary skills to conduct open-water dives in conditions similar to their training without the direct supervision of an instructor. This certification will allow you to dive up to a depth of 18 meters (60 feet) always accompanied by another certified diver.
Course includes:
5 Theory lessons, approximately 2 hours (for whoever wants to be certified through TDI-SDI we can offer an e-learning so you can complete the theory online from the commodity of your home or hotel room)
– 5 Confined water in the pool (approximately 2 hours)
– 2 days diving with 2 tank dives each day (Open Water Dives 1, 2, 3, 4)

– Pick up the days of the dives upon request just for the areas of Tamarindo and Langosta

SDI
As soon as you formalize your reservation or a month prior to the beginning of the course, we will assign you a code that will allow you to download the e-learning for the theory portion of the course. We recommend studying at least the first 3 chapters before the pool session, but it is not mandatory. On day 1 we will wait for you at our diving center at 2:00 p.m. for the confined water session in the pool (2 hours approx.)
On days 2 and 3 we will meet at 7 a.m. and we will take you to the Catalina's Archipelago, where each day you will perform 2 different diving techniques with your instructor. After completing successfully the 4 dives and after having passed the final exam of your e-learning, we will certify you as an Open Water Diver
PADI
With PADI the cost of the e-learning is not included. (USD 180)
