PriceOur 2 hour or 1 day Dorset windsurfing taster session in Portland, UK is the perfect session for the newcomer to the sport. With a little time spent on the land-based simulator, the aim of the session is to get you out on the water and windsurfing across the wind, turning around to return to where you started. Those that have a taster with us often book straight onto our two day RYA accredited Start Windsurfing Course after.
Everything is included in the cost of the taster, from kit hire (including a wetsuit) and tuition, to free parking in the car park and use of the National Sailing Academy’s facilities. There is also a café onsite for refreshments.
The 2 hour or 1 day Dorset windsurfing taster session in Portland, UK provides a bite-size experience of the sport of windsurfing. Naturally progresses for many into the full 2-day RYA Start Windsurfing Course.

Centre opening times are from 10.00am until late, at the OTC staff’s discretion.
If booking online, please allow at least 72 hours in advance to be assured your desired date and time. If you book a session sooner, we may need to reschedule around existing bookings. A member of staff will be in touch if this is necessary.
If you have pre-paid and booked a session that needs to be rearranged (due to adverse conditions, for example), we will aim to rearrange the session on a date convenient for you.
If a gift voucher has been bought, the voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. A gift voucher can not be refunded for its monetary value, and is only available for use within the OTC centre.
