Lidwala Lodge provides comfortable accommodation with a friendly vibe in a gorgeous convenient setting. Lidwala is located at the idyllic Roki Centre in the Ezulwini valley off the main MR103 road on the slopes of Sheba’s breast mountain with a spectacular view across the valley.
Lidwala caters for travellers, families, students, volunteers and business guests and accommodates up to 40 people in a mix of chalets, private rooms and dorms. It also offers six safari tents, five caravan sites and garden camping space for individuals, couples, families or groups.
Lidwala Lodge has lots of options for you to choose from. We have private rooms, dorms as well as a camping area and caravan park. Lidwala Lodge was founded in 2006 and is part of the All Out Africa Group.
Lidwala Lodge came from humble beginnings. Reminiscent of the ugly duckling, what was once some shacks surrounded by rubbish and impenetrable weeds on a property that on-one wanted became a beautiful lodge and one the most admired properties in the Kingdom.
Returning from honeymoon in 2005 Kim & Robin Roques bought a piece of land in the Ezulwini valley with the vision of transforming it into an oasis which would become an example to all as a life-style centre of tasteful design and tranquil nature.
First came months of gardening and landscaping – rubbish and weed removal, planting grass and indigenous plants, exposing big boulders and the natural stream – gradually the Roki Centre was born. Then came the renovation of some shacks with tyres on the roof into a tastefully designed backpacker lodge with a mix of dorms and private rooms. In June 2006 Lidwala lodge was open for business and within three years it was awarded “best Hostel in Swaziland”.
