Island Watersports, Lanzarote was established over 22 years ago (pre-1999!) and is a family dive centre run by Valerie and Paul who have been diving professionals for over 10 years. They wanted to run a dive centre so that they can offer you the high level of quality service in a safe, fun relaxed environment that they like to receive when they go diving.

Island Watersports, Lanzarote is located on the harbour in Puerto del Carmen with great views across the harbour and easy access to both shore dives and boat dives suitable for all levels of diver from trying scuba diving for the very first time to certified divers of all levels, including tec divers.

We have superb facilities including: changing rooms, lockers, toilets and hot showers, a wonderful spacious outdoor seating area for relaxing over a nice a cuppa after dives and a small dive shop with your diving essentials and more! We have a full range of quality rental equipment and plenty of space for rinsing, hanging and storing equipment. We also have an amazing compressor room from which we can offer you air, Nitrox and mixed gases.

Our friendly, experienced team of dive professionals are looking forward to sharing with you the many underwater wonders of Lanzarote from the shoals of sardines to the larger hunters such as barracuda and groupers. In the shallows you’ll often see rainbow wrasse, blennies, damsel fish and parrot fish feeding on and around the rocks and if you look more closely you may spot an Octopus and crabs hiding in the rocks and cuttlefish hovering around.

You may experience an encounter with some endangered species whilst you’re here: perhaps a seahorse, tail wrapped around the seaweed or an endangered Angel Shark gliding along the reef or even a baby Angel Shark! You’ll be amazed at the different variety and amount of marine life to be experienced in the unique underwater volcanic topography here in Lanzarote. What are you waiting for?
