DestinationsOssian (pronounced “Ocean”) Farmer founded From Big Island (FBI) Surf School in Hawaii in 2001 and has shared the experience of surfing with countless people.
Born and raised in Hawaii, Ossian has been surfing since 1980. Ossian is also fully licensed and insured as well as lifeguard, first aid, and CPR certified. In addition to surfing the world-class waves of Hawaii, Ossian has surfed around the globe, including California, Mexico, Australia, Central America, Indonesia, and French Polynesia.
Personalized surf lessons for individuals and families that can be catered to your own needs. Ossian has also been a volunteer surf instructor for Surfers Healing for 10 years; a non-profit organization that takes children on the Autism spectrum surfing.
He has travelled all over the United States, Australia and Mexico with the foundation taking hundreds of special children surfing. Ossian also has experience taking people with other types of special needs surfing including Downs Syndrome, Cystic Fybrosis, hearing and visual impairment just to name a few. The ocean is a healing place that provides a beautiful experience for everyone.
