Anatoki Salmon was established in 1999. Since then, it has become a popular experience for locals and tourists alike. Visitors are guaranteed to bag a fish and, soon after landing their catch, they can taste the fruits of their leisure in the Salmon Café. “They catch it and within an hour they can have it smoked and then eat it for lunch. Or they can take it away.”
Catch your very own Chinook salmon in Lake Anatoki in Takaka, Golden Bay, New Zealand. Free entry and free use of fishing gear. No experience needed and all ages are welcome. You just pay for the fish you catch and have it smoked under 20 minutes. Complementary drinks and nibbles available in our café. Watch salmon back-flip out of the water, listen as they splash on the surface.
