Albatros Arctic Circle

Albatros Arctic Circle offer a range of adventures, activities and accommodation (hostels, hotels or camping) in Greenland. Explore the arctic by sea, land or ice!

Albatros Arctic Circle is a division of Albatros Travel, a Scandinavian travel company with headquarters in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Three decades ago, we were a pioneer travel operator to venture into the arctic wilderness of Greenland. We fell in love with the sprawling landscapes, the long and dark winters only brightened by the sparkling snow, the breathtaking northern lights (aurora borealis), and the short, surprisingly green summers lit by the midnight sun. We cherish the seemingly endless icescapes and the warmth of the Greenlandic people.

Today, we have cemented our presence in Kangerlussuaq in the form of a local office offering business-to-business services, a restaurant, gift shop, two hotels and a portfolio of exciting excursions. In Ilulissat we own and operate both a hotel and a tour operations company with boats, kayaks, hiking tours and the renown Restaurant H8 Explorer in Oqaatsut (Rodebay) only 30 minutes of sailing north of the town.

Our staff in both places has either lived there for their entire life or for many years. Whether you choose an exciting dog sled ride, kayaking, tundra safari or sightseeing tour, our team looks forward to sharing their Greenland with you.

Our passion for Greenland is all encompassing and reflected in everything we do here. When choosing Albatros Arctic Circle, you are guaranteed to receive an authentic Greenlandic experience.

Company Information

Albatros Arctic Circle was established in 2008 as a result of a merger between Greenland Travel in Sisimiut and Albatros Greenland in Kangerlussuaq. In February 2010, Albatros Arctic Circle acquired Kangerlussuaq Tourism, including its knowledgeable staff, vehicles and accommodation facilities. Jørgen Larsen is Managing Director of Albatros Arctic Circle.

In 2019 we took over the adventure company formerly known as PGI Greenland in Ilulissat which today has become AAC Ilulissat – a company that shares the same address as Hotel Hvide Falk. Edvard Rosbach is the managing director.
