For the best ski holiday in France add winter activities in the Alps

Skiing is great and ski holidays are the reason we all head back to the mountains we love love year after year. But skiing is just the tip of the iceberg for winter activities in the Alps. You can add extra adventure to create the best ski holiday in France by interspersing your skiing with other winter activities.

Winter activities in the Alps

Have a go at paragliding with a ski landing on the piste or, for expert skiers only, why not try speed riding. Speed riding is a combination of paragliding and skiing, a bit like kitesurfing on skis!! Once adept at speed flying means you can drop off cliffs, reach unreachable powder stashes and literally fly down the mountain.

Animal lovers can try their hand at dog sledding and mush a team of huskies across the snowfields. Half the fun of this is meeting the dogs particularly the young ones back at camp. You could also have a go at ski joering which is being pulled by a horse whilst on skis!

If you prefer your rope related adventures heading downhill then you could experience Europe’s longest and fastest and zip line.

Snowshoe walking is a great way to get away from the piste and into the wild, walks can be arranged to suit all fitness levels. For a romantic evening adventure, you can even go for a moonlit snowshoe walk…. the choice is yours.
