Mountain Biking in Åre

When not covered in snow the northern resort of Åre is also the largest bike park in Scandinavia. There are an impressive 50km of trails utilising the 853m of vertical which is accessed via the ski lifts. A lot of the best mountain biking in Sweden happens in Åre.

You’ll find trails designed to accommodate riders of all levels, with seven green, eleven blue, eleven red and ten black trails. Expect berms, jumps, technical sections and plenty of other features increasing in size as the difficulty ramps up. Bike hire, guiding and instruction is available.

There are also 16 bike trails that require a bit of leg work to get uphill. You’ll find flowing single track, natural technical trails and routes for beginners through to pros. Choose your poison – downhill, freeride, cross country, or just some riding easy to navigate trails – Åre has it all.
