Our Zimbabwe multi activity camping at Lake Kariba offers en-suite safari tents and compact dome tents. Our Classic Tents sleep 2 people, while our Luxury Tents can sleep 3 or 4 people. The Compact tents sleep 2. On site we have a restaurant and bar overlooking the floodplain and lake. We also have a splash pool to cool off in during the heat of the day.
Warthogs is a perfect introduction to the Zimbabwe bush for clients who are on their way to Mana Pools or Matusadona… get a feel of camping amongst the wildlife, while still being close to home comforts and shops, before heading to more remote locations. But give yourself a few days on mainland to enjoy some of Kariba town’s delights.
As Tour operators we can organise a variety of activities from Warthogs Safari Camp in Zimbabwe. These might include guided canoeing out on the lake with a professional guide. You can gently explore the lake's shoreline for the most amazing birdlife and game with your knowledgeable guide.
Alternatively you could choose to explore the area by foot from the Zimbabwe multi activity camp at Lake Kariba. There are trails from the Zambezi river out of the escarpment and also less strenuous walks from the lake shoreline, inland along the riverbeds.
There are also many opportunities to look for game on game drives, and sunset cruises. For the more adventurous there is parasailing over the lake....giving you a unique bird's eye view of the vast expanse of water.
You can also hire speedboats and houseboats on the lake for a day or a few days rest, relaxation and fun on the water. This gives prime fishing opportunities for all the family. If you want to stay on land the bream farm also gives hours of fun for the kids...and a high chance of catching fish for supper too!
