Glan y Wern is a spacious holiday cottage in North Wales. This Berwyn Range hiking cottage in a great area for many different adventures including mountain biking, walking, sailing, water sports, caving, climbing, hiking, cycling and more

There are two bedrooms (one en suite) sleeping a total of four people. This North Wales hikers accommodation also has a comfortable lounge with log burner, well equipped kitchen diner, an enclosed garden and a sunny patio with barbecue which overlooks open fields.

Within a two minute stroll are two historic inns both serving fantastic food. We have enclosed gardens front and back, off road parking and a sunny patio with BBQ for outside dining. There is secure bike storage (for up to 6 bikes).

To help you plan your days there are stacks of guide books, maps and local area guides. We are avid outdoors enthusiasts ourselves so if you need any ideas on walks or places to hike – just ask!

Location and Activities

This Berwyn Range hiking cottage is surrounded by some of the best outdoor activities North Wales has to offer. Mountain biking, walking, sailing, water sports, caving, climbing, hiking and cycling are all available in the area.

We are a short drive from the Snowdonia National Park and the Clywidian Range. Walk out of the door of the cottage and you are in the Berwyn Range - miles of glorious walks await you.

Many people bypass the Berwyn Range on the way to Snowdonia but they are missing out on one of the hidden gems of North Wales. One of our local favourite walks is Cadair Berwyn to the waterfall at Pistyll Rhaeadr.

If you fancy a spot of mountain biking, Coed Llandegla, Coed-y-Brenin, Penmachno trails, Revolution Bike Park and Gwydir Mawr a Bach (Marin trail) are all close by. There are also some great rides straight from the door of this North Wales hikers accommodation.
