Close to Morzine and still in the wider Portes du Soleil area, Les Gets is home to some of the best mountain biking in the world. Tignes  from £503

Another top Alpine resort, Tignes is really pulling out the stops creating new trails and offering great deals on lift passes. It’s a high altitude resort meaning there is some of the most diverse bike terrain in the Alps. With bike parks, Enduro trails, 4x tracks and plenty more, including summer glacier skiing and boarding to enjoy, there is a lot here to get the adrenaline pumping. Prices start from £503.

Val d’Isere from £682

A new summer mountain biking resort for Alpine Elements, and one of the most famous in the world. The summer season here is fast becoming as spectacular and popular as the winter. Linked with Tignes, this established biking destination features a fast lift system, parks, looping tracks as well as fast, technical trails. There’s also plenty to do when not on the bike, including a via ferrata, quad bikes, horse riding and more. Prices start from £682.

La Tania from £509

Another new resort for AE and great for summer mountain biking holidays. This pretty mountain resort boasts a super efficient lift system, wooded single tracks, switch backs, natural banks, berms and drop offs. With 262 kilometres of marked trails and a range of other activities to enjoy, La Tania is an up and coming resort popular with everyone from downhill nuts to Enduro riders. Prices start from £509.

Lefkada, Greece from £410

This Ionian island might be more famous for being one of the world’s best watersports destinations but it’s also home to some great biking terrain. The resorts of Vassiliki and Nidri, are dominated by windsurfing, but with free bike hire and stunning coastal territory to explore, it’s a great place for a multi-activity trip or summer mountain biking holidays. Porto Heli from £500

Found on the southern tip of the Argolis Peninsula opposite the island of Spetses, the large bay at Porto Heli is a great spot for windsurfing and watersports. There are also some incredible biking trails stretching along the coast for you to explore when not on the water.
